Prayer Points for Thomsons in 2015

Alecia: Graduates from Sophia University with Sociology degree in March, and is currently applying for a job with a non-profit in Tokyo. She was in New Zealand this past February – July doing an exchange program at the University of Auckland. She is actively involved with Lifehouse Tokyo, which is a growing church movement geared to young people.

Christopher: After taking a year off following graduation from CAJ in 2013 and working at a Sports Club in Tokyo, Chris started his college career at Santa Barbara City College in California last August, and managed to get a 4.0 average his first semester! He loves the environment there and will be returning for the second semester mid-January. Pray he’ll keep up the good grades so he will be able to get a scholarship to transfer into a 4-year college after finishing 2 years at the community college. He is interested in pursuing a degree in Sports Medicine.

Joshua: Graduated from Japanese high school in March, spent a month in New Zealand while Alecia was there in April, and is taking a year off working at local McDonalds, and taking on odd modeling and acting roles in Japanese TV commercials and movies. He has been on TV dramas several times, and recently as an extra in a major film that is currently in theaters all over Japan. He still hasn’t decided what he wants to do for college, but is interested in travelling and seeing other countries.

Carol: Active in Aglow International, and English classes. She is doing more classes for elderly people. Carol also comes to Tohoku to help out in heart care programs to tsunami survivors. She often counsels women over the phone and Skype.

Don: Works for Operation Blessing Japan, and we are still continuing operations to help fishermen affected by the tsunami, and programs to help survivors overcome trauma. We will probably be finishing fishermen support by end of March, and focus will be on working in heart care programs with evacuees from areas contaminated by the Fukushima nuclear power plant still living in temporary housing. We have office near Sendai, and have 2 full-time and 3 part-time staff. Also been working with CBN to get scripts for first 13 episodes of the new Super Book translated into Japanese, for possible broadcast in Japan later in the year.

Major event in 2014 was the passing of Don’s mother Eileen in May, after having served in Japan for 60 years. She joined Dad in heaven who went there back in 2005. We are looking forward to seeing Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding, California who will be in Tokyo 8th, 9th of January for seminars.

Have a Blessed 2015!

Love from,

Don & Carol Thomson, Alecia (23), Christopher (21), Joshua (19)
